Ashfield House offers charming, luxury, well-appointed bedrooms, two with views down Loch Long and the mountains, two with forest views, all with an en-suite or private bathroom and luxury amenities.

We also offer the house for group bookings, filming use, or special ocassion so please contact me directly if you would like to arrange this. To help maintain a relaxed atmosphere in the house we are a shoes off house, providing slippers in your room. We are a pet free house so allergy suffers need not worry.
The house, dating from around 1840, is situated on the shore at the head of Loch Long, a 2 minute walk from the start of the trail up "The Cobbler" (Ben Arthur), "Arrochar Alps" and 2 miles from Loch Lomond, with sweeping views of the loch and mountains. We are perfectly situated for hiking, climbing, biking, sailing, kayaking, even wild swimming! The house is in the Lomond & Trossachs National Park and backs onto the forest so is often visited by wildlife. Keep an eye out for red squirrl, deer, pine martin, even badgers!
As well as our luxury rooms, we provide our guests with breakfast of locally sourced food, a relaxing guest sitting room with books and games, free wi-fi, and a garden with seating areas to enjoy the views down the loch and up the mountains. We welcome guests with a complementary single malt whisky from one of the local distilleries and provide off street parking, electric car recharging, and secure storage for bikes and motorbikes as well as bikes that our guests are welcome to borrow if bringing your own bike is not an option.
In addition to being at the heart of the Arrochar Alps and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, the village provides a great base to explore other parts of Argyll and the Scottish Highlands, including Inveraray, Loch Fyne, Loch Awe, and slightly further afield to Oban, Rannoch Moor, and Glen Coe. There are also a number of highly regarded restaurants, distilleries and golf courses in the area. We would be more than happy to provide advice and recommendations as to how to spend your time in and around Arrochar. For more information see our See and Do page.
