The safety of our guests and staff is paramount, and we have implemented all necessary procedures in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organisation, the UK Government, and VisitScotland, to ensure a safe environment so you can enjoy the amazing space here in the Arrochar Alps and the Scottish Highlands.

In particular we have put in place procedures to enhance our already high cleaning standards including:

  • We are allowing additional time for cleaning, disinfecting, and ventilation between guest stays, in accordance with best practice guidelines. To support this we have had to introduce a minimum 2 night stay for all our rooms.

  • All rooms and common areas will be cleaned with an EU14476 certified virucidal disinfectant

  • Hand sanitiser will be available in the entrance hall, bedrooms, and guest sitting room

  • Exterior door handles and other common surfaces will be sanitised regularly during the day

Social distancing is another important precaution, so we have added these measures:

  • Guest check in and check out will be completely contactless

  • There will be no breakfast buffet and all food will be plated, no sauces, condiments, milk jugs, bread etc will be shared

  • Masks will be used by staff in accordance to best practice guidelines, and hands washed frequently

  • We ask all guests to observe social distancing protocols whenever they are in the house and to self-certify non infection before arrival

After a good night's sleep our guest can look forward to breakfast in our spacious breakfast room and we can cater to most diatery needs.

Breakfasts include a "full Scottish" sourced locally from Callaghans, an independent and long established award winning butcher in Helensburgh. Our eggs are sourced 200m from Ashfield House from very happy free range organic hens at Succoth Farm.

Vegetarians and vegans needn't miss out as a "Vegan Scottish" is on offer as well as a selection of both vegetarian and vegan options including New Orleans style pancakes with maple syrup in recognition of Cristina's American heritage.

We also serve smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, as well as Scottish kippers. The smoked salmon and the kippers are from the renowned original  Loch Fyne, internationally famous for its fish and seafood, and are smoked in house at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar in Cairndow.

Fresh home-made breads, using organic flour, along with fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereals are available every morning and soya yogurts and almond milk are available on request. (Please let us know in advance of any diatery requirememts).  The preserves are made locally, and the berries are home grown too! We make our own marmalade and are proud to serve Argyll Coffee Roasters fresh ground coffee at breakfast and in the rooms.

We also make our own “welcome treats” to be found in your room upon arrival. Again, all ingredients are locally sourced where possible.

Enjoy!
